Luke Futey runs the IMT Des Moines Half Marathon and Tessa Futey the new Bankers Trust 10K on Sunday. Both go off at 8 a.m.
Two of Nosotros are on the line in Des Moines on Sunday.
Luke Futey runs the IMT Des Moines Half Marathon. Tessa Futey runs the Bankers Trust 10K, new to the weekend this year. Both start at 8:00 a.m. from the East Village, beside the State Capitol. The half heads west through downtown, out to Gray’s Lake and back along the river.
Luke won the Early Bird 10 Mile in Omaha in April (53:03) and was 10th overall at the Lincoln Half in May (1:09:12). He is using Sunday to chase a semi-elite qualifier for Grandma’s Marathon next June.
Tessa ran the steeplechase at Abilene Christian. The 10K is her tune-up for the Good Life Halfsy in Lincoln three weeks later.
As always, fueled by Hammer Nutrition.
Tune in Sunday at the results page to see how they do.
