Nosotros Debuts at BolderBoulder 10K

All four runners place in the top 13 of their age groups at Nosotros TC's first race as a team. Jan Thewes leads in 32:48, two days after earning NCAA All-American honors in the steeplechase.

Nosotros made its team debut at the BolderBoulder 10K, lining up in matching kit alongside more than 45,000 runners at 5,328 feet of altitude on Memorial Day morning in Boulder.

Jan Thewes led the squad in 32:48 — fifth in his age group, and a result that landed just two days after he earned NCAA All-American honors in the 3000m steeplechase. To turn around from a national-meet final and crack 33 minutes on a hilly course at altitude is the kind of double weekend that gets remembered.

Nehemiah “Nemo” Cionelo came through nine seconds back in 32:57, finishing fourth in his age group. The two ran within sight of each other through most of the back half, trading the work as they moved up the field.

Daniel Carr and Edwin Siuda ran together as well — Carr 35:11 for eighth in his age group, Siuda 35:13 on his shoulder for thirteenth. They started the race eighty seconds behind the front wave and spent the first miles weaving through traffic before settling into pace.

For a club’s first start line together, four top-thirteen age-group finishes against one of the largest fields in American road racing is a fair way to open the chapter. More to come.
